Peter specialises in civil, commercial and construction litigation and dispute resolution. He takes an analytical approach with a sharp focus on resolution to the client's best advantage.
His recent work has included multi-million-dollar commercial/industrial business interruption and material damage insurance claims; multi-million-dollar shareholder/joint venture disputes; issues relating to the sale and purchase of land including residential and large commercial/industrial properties; leases, covenants and other dealings with land; commercial investment and other contractual issues; wills, trusts and estates and other equitable matters; long-term high-value agreements for supply of goods and services; and professional negligence claims.
Peter joined Shortland Chambers in 1998. He is a graduate of the University of Auckland, gaining a Senior Prize in Law in 1984 and subsequently an LLM Hons (1st class). Prior to joining Shortland Chambers, he was a partner in a specialist commercial and litigation firm in Auckland.
