Elizabeth Binning is NZME's Open Justice Editor.
She runs a large team of reporters dedicated to covering courts, tribunals, disciplinary
hearings and justice-related stories from around the country. She's been with
NZME for more than 20 years, initially as a crime and justice reporter during
which time she covered many high-profile criminal cases through the courts. She
has spent the past 10 years in more senior positions, including leading the
Herald's reporters as the Chief of Staff. Since leading Open Justice her team
has produced more than 2,500 justice-related stories.
