In 2008 she was classified as senior counsel and made an Associate, and in 2013 she was made a Partner. In June 2014, Natalie left Meredith Connell to establish Kayes Fletcher Walker (KFW). In May 2015 she was appointed the first Crown Solicitor for Manukau. Natalie is now one of four directors of KFW, which employs around 50 lawyers to undertake the prosecution of all serious crime on behalf of the Crown in South Auckland. In 2022 Natalie took nine months’ study leave from KFW to complete a full-immersion te reo Māori course.
