Synopsis:

Proceedings in the Family Court should be dealt with fairly, inexpensively and speedily. Documents need to be drafted in such a way that they clearly articulate and advance the client’s goals, and meet counsel’s duty to the court.

To achieve those aims, applications and pleadings should be clear, focussed and concise.
What is your client seeking? What are the key legal and factual grounds they rely on?
Affidavit evidence must be limited to the relevant facts – there is no place for inexpert opinions or submissions disguised as evidence.
