Written Advocacy: What Judges Want (On Demand)

Online

This On Demand was recorded on 30 June 2022.

Written submissions remain at the core of advocacy; they are a fundamental tool in the litigator’s armory. So how do you craft your submissions to gain the Judge’s attention, and in turn help guide them to the right answer? Focusing on trial and appellate submissions, the panelists will provide invaluable insights into how to approach drafting, the structure and language to be used once you ‘put pen to paper’, and ways to ascertain whether you’ve achieved your purpose. Make sure that before, during, and after the hearing, the submissions are a powerful force, pushing throughout to the result that you want.

Who should view?

All litigators who draft submissions.
