The Revised Public Works Act: Inside the Infrastructure

Infrastructure and services are fundamental to New Zealanders’ day-to-day lives and the country’s economy. Public Works legislation enables the Crown and local authorities to acquire land for these purposes.

To manage the development of projected and future infrastructure and services, with improved efficiency and effectiveness, the Public Works Act 1981 is being reformed.

The changes signify a major shift in how New Zealand approaches land acquisition in this context.

This webinar will look at specific and general amendments to the legislation, and consider how they will impact the public acquisition processes while also providing protections for landowners.
